Informant #35485: I believe that society discriminates against children of homosexuals and that the children would be treated unfairly by their peers

Informant #35549: they would have a completely different upbringing then the people around them

Informant #35582: I have no problem with homosexual marriages or couples whatsoever, though if a child is brought up without either a mother or a father it can cause serious psychological damage to the child. Not just growing up without one parent (having both is usually really important though) because many kids are brought up with one parent, but the fact of having TWO mothers or TWO fathers in a world where that is not accepted completely in society yet may hurt them. It shouldn't, but it probably would. Just going through school would probably be very difficult, so until homosexual couples are accepted in society and we see that children of these couples are raised healthy & happy, THEN it should be fine for homosexual couples to adopt children.

Informant #35606: Why would homosexual couples adopt? Is that not admitting that they secretly want to be heterosexuals?

Informant #35636: I think the correct answer to 10 would be sometimes. I think it all depends on the parents and how they raise the kid. Sometimes the parents don't have both aspects of a mother and a father. However i dont think it is always true.

Informant #35714: Because society still emphasizes that children are raised by heterosexuals.

Informant #35727: A child should have both a mother and a father if one is missing it has a emtional impact on the child.

Informant #35760: I think it is important for children to grow up with both female and male role models. For this reason, I am against single parenting as well.

Informant #35823: A normal family has a mother and a father. If you have two fathers, who's going to be the mom-like figure?
