My New Subsection |
Do you believe you had a good childhood? Please explain |
yes, first of all my parents were awesome and treated us great! They let us be kids by running around outside all day and grew up with a ton of kids on my block! |
What did your parent(s) do with you for family time? |
well my mom worked on weekends, but my dad would play catch and basketball with us. And bring us to Chicago every summer to visit family. |
Did your parent(s) make it a point to show and tell you that they loved you? |
yea my dad is a manly man but he still showed us he loved us and my mom is very sensitive so she always has! |
As a child when you did something wrong, what kind of punishment (if any) did you get? |
My dad did sometimes go a bit extreme he was pretty strict, but my mom was there for backup have the punishment fit the crime. |
Do you believe you will raise your children the same way you were raised? Why or why not? |
yes and no. As a mother I would love to have weekends off unlike my mom to spend time with the kids more but I understand she had to make money! |
Do you believe that the way a child is raised determines the person they become? |
of course, I know if I would have listened to my parents more when they said "trust me you'll regret it when you get older" and some things I do regret. |
Do you believe you grew up in a good family environment? Why or why not? |
yes, no spankings ok maybe a couple but it wasn't their way of punishment. My mom is Italian so she is just a loud person. I would be more scared/sad when she was disappointed though. |
Did your home environment positively or negatively affect your growing up? Please explain |
positively, all that little crap was for my own good. |
What do you wish, if anything, was different about your childhood? |
more time with my mom, but I hang out with her all the time now as an adult. I regret some things I did to my dad too we didn't talk for awhile but he broke our family apart. |
Do you really believe there is such a thing as a "perfect childhood"? |
no, mine wasn't perfect by any means just you realize when you are older things can always be worse and some families have it way worse. |
